Marmomac Brazil opens 2nd edition in São Paulo with competitiveness agenda, industry target of US$ 3 billion in exports, and global repositioning of natural stone

São Paulo, February 24, 2026 — São Paulo hosted this Tuesday (24) the second edition of Marmomac Brazil at the Anhembi District, consolidating the show as the leading international platform for natural stone in the Americas. Twice the size of its first edition, the event brings together more than 180 exhibiting brands, with an expected audience of 15,000 visitors from all Brazilian states and 80 countries.

The opening ceremony gathered Brazilian and Italian authorities and was marked by recognition of the broad institutional coordination that supports the sector, with acknowledgements to business entities, governments, development agencies, and international representatives.

The ceremony featured Tales Machado, president of the Brazilian Natural Stone Association (Centrorochas); Adolfo Rebughini, general director of the Veronafiere Group; Bismark Bachiete, president of Sindirochas; Evair de Melo, federal deputy; Eduardo Dalla Mura, vice president of Findes; Da Vitória, federal deputy; Renato Brito Moreira, operational leader of Sebrae-SP; Patricia Gouvêa, CEO of NOVA ES; Mauro Henrique Moreira Sousa, director-general of the Brazilian Mining Agency (ANM); and Alessandra Andrade, president of SP Negócios S.A., representing Ricardo Nunes, Mayor of the City of São Paulo.

The strategic partnership between Milanez & Milaneze, the event organizer, and the Italian group Veronafiere, organizer of the traditional Marmomac — which celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2026 — was highlighted during the ceremony as the central axis of the brand’s expansion and repositioning in Brazil.

“We are very pleased with Marmomac Brazil 2026, which is larger, more strategic, and showcases multiple technologies. All of this is the result of teamwork integrating natural beauty, technology, and cutting-edge machinery, along with more than a decade of cooperation with Brazilian entities. The exhibition is already a success thanks to the trust of companies, associations, and consortia that believed in this second edition,” said Adolfo Rebughini, general director of Veronafiere Group.

A resilient sector with a goal to double exports

Centrorochas president Tales Machado presented an overview of the sector’s new phase. The natural stone industry generates around 480,000 direct and indirect jobs, ranks 4th among the world’s largest producers, and 5th among exporters.

Despite ongoing economic challenges — including the strong impact of tariff measures from the Trump administration — the sector reached a record US$ 1.48 billion in exports last year, secured important trade agreements to open international markets, and is preparing for the challenge of reaching an ambitious goal of US$ 3 billion in exports by 2030. This target is supported by competitiveness gains, market expansion, and greater value added to products.

“The legitimacy built in Brazil is what allows us to move forward consistently on the international stage. The partnership with ApexBrasil is a central part of this movement. We are in the third cycle of work that has consolidated a structured approach that goes beyond traditional trade promotion. Today, we are not speaking only to buyers — we connect directly with those who influence decisions and define trends: architects, designers, and interior professionals,” Machado emphasized.

The sector’s development agents aim to position natural stone not merely as a construction input, but as a unique piece — a work of art — capable of competing in value and desirability with other surfacing materials worldwide.

Special projects stand out at the exhibition’s debut

With expectations of 15,000 visitors and around 180 exhibiting brands, Marmomac Brazil 2026 debuted with a diverse content program focused on business, innovation, technology, design, and industry trends.

The event presented the exhibition Natural Stone: A Force of Nature, a complete immersive experience with natural stone structured in four acts: origin, extract, transform, and innovate. Each stage illustrates part of the stone’s journey — from its formation in nature through extraction, processing, and application in a wide range of projects.

The exhibition also innovated with an immersive space dedicated to training and strengthening the sector’s value chain, Stone+Tec, combining innovation and technical application by connecting fabricators, architects, designers, builders, and technology suppliers.

By structuring a program that combines high-quality content, practical experiences, and recognition of best practices, Marmomac Brazil reinforces its positioning as a platform that goes beyond a commercial exhibition. The event is consolidating itself as a space for reflection, learning, and connection, expanding dialogue between industry, architecture, design, and innovation in the natural stone industry.
